CHILDS Process
CHILDS was engaged by Axon to identify, contact, qualify and negotiate with qualified acquisition candidates with a goal of acquiring 3-6 companies in a two year timeframe. CHILDS worked with Axon to develop a very specific acquisition profile and then conducted a comprehensive sourcing project.
Once the candidate list was developed, CHILDS contacted each party, qualified them and helped negotiate key terms. The net result was that Axon was able to acquire four companies in about eighteen months which build a US business in excess of $200 million and sold itself to HCL Technology for £440 million. The combined HCL-Axon is a $2.5 billion global player in IT services.
